When pressing an unfamiliar garment, start at the lower end of the recommended range and adjust upward in 10ยฐF increments based on results.

Is sublimation or DTF better for my needs?

It depends on your substrate and goals. Sublimation produces vibrant, breathable results but only works effectively on white or light-colored polyester and polymer-coated productsโ€”and requires higher heat (around 400ยฐF) and longer press times (35โ€“50 seconds). DTF transfers work on almost any fabric in any color, require less press time, and deliver a soft-hand feel with excellent color accuracy. For most garment decorators working across a variety of fabrics, DTF offers more flexibility.
